Start from a blank canvas or your own artwork
Create a design from scratch, or upload finished artwork as the background and place editable Attributes and a QR code over it.
Sometimes the artwork already exists. A fest poster, a university template, or a sponsor-supplied background has been designed and approved, and rebuilding it in another editor would waste the work.
A certificate design can start two ways: blank, or with an uploaded image as the background.
The two starting points
Blank canvas. Add every element yourself: the title, recipient name, award line, signatures, sponsor marks, and QR code. This is the right choice when there is no existing artwork, or when the layout should be rebuilt for a new programme.
Uploaded artwork. Upload the finished design as a flattened background, then place editable certificate Attributes and the QR code on top. The background keeps its original composition; the recipient data stays editable.
Both options live under Design on a certificate, then Edit Design or the design start screen.
What to watch
Text inside a flattened image is not editable. If the event name or date will change per certificate, add those as Attributes over the background rather than baking them into the image. Leave a clear area for the recipient name and the QR code; a busy background can make both hard to read.
Designing and uploading do not spend credits. A credit is used when a certificate is issued.
