Terms of Service

Last updated 1 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Verifycate’s website, application, APIs, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Verifycate provides tools to design, issue, deliver, and verify digital certificates. Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

Accounts and workspaces

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for users you invite to a workspace.

You must be at least 16 years old and have authority to accept these terms on behalf of any organisation you represent.

Your content and recipient data

You retain ownership of content you upload, including certificate designs, logos, and recipient information. You grant Verifycate a limited licence to host, process, display, and deliver that content solely to provide the service.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and issue certificates to recipients, and for the accuracy of the information you submit.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Verifycate. For example, you must not:

  • Issue false, misleading, or fraudulent credentials.
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property or violates applicable law.
  • Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorisation.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, including by excessive automated requests outside documented API limits.
  • Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.

Public certificate pages

Issued certificates may be accessible through public verification pages intended for recipients and third parties. You control what you publish, and public pages may remain available after an event unless you change or remove them in the product.

Fees and credits

Some features are free; paid plans and usage-based charges apply as shown on our pricing page or in your workspace. Prices may change with notice. Taxes may apply unless stated otherwise.

Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of paid features.

Verifycate intellectual property

Verifycate and its licensors own the service, software, branding, and documentation, excluding your content. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks except as needed to use the service in the ordinary course.

Third-party services

The service may integrate with third-party platforms such as authentication providers, email systems, or social networks. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verifycate disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Verifycate does not guarantee that every recipient will share a certificate, that third parties will accept it, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verifycate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Verifycate against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our breach or negligence.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or where required to do so.

Sections that by nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions on content licences, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Verifycate regarding the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
