Verifycate features
From event list to certificate people can verify
The end-of-event certificate rush brings spreadsheets, missing names, feedback requests, and corrections together. Verifycate gives organisers one place to prepare, issue, share, and manage digital certificates—with clear recipient workflows for the work that follows.
01 · Design certificates
Build a certificate that fits your event
Start from a blank canvas, your existing artwork, or an AI-generated draft, then refine the details in the Template editor.
Template editor
Arrange text, images, shapes, and certificate Attributes on the canvas, with controls for positioning and styling each element.
Start from a blank canvas or image
Create a new Template from a blank canvas or upload finished artwork as its background, then place editable certificate Attributes on top.
Create with AI
Describe the certificate and choose a style to generate four editable design directions. Open a draft in the Template editor to make it your own.
Use Your Canva Design
Import a Canva design as a flattened image background, then add Verifycate certificate Attributes and a verification QR code over it.
Use a Template from another certificate
Start a new certificate using a Template from another certificate in your workspace, then adapt the design for the next event.
Text, images, and shapes
Add and style the visual elements that make a certificate recognisable, including event titles, logos, signatures, and decorative shapes.
Group, duplicate, and arrange elements
Group related elements, duplicate repeated items, and manage their order in the Template editor when refining a layout.
QR code on the certificate
Add the recipient’s QR code to the design so a printed or downloaded certificate can lead viewers to its public verification page.
Certificate details and earning criteria
Add award details such as certificate type, duration, skills, earning criteria, and a learn-more link to give context to the achievement.
Template versions
Keep track of published design versions. When a Template changes, see which recipients still have an earlier version and choose who to reissue.
Preview with Data
Preview a Template with recipient details before issuing, helping you catch long names, missing Attributes, and layout problems early.
02 · Prepare recipient data
Get event lists ready without hand-editing every certificate
Bring recipient details into one list, map them to the right Attributes, and check the data before certificates go out.
Bulk import from CSV or Excel
Upload a spreadsheet of recipients, map its columns to recipient name, email, and certificate Attributes, then prepare the batch for issuing.
Paste a recipient list
Add a batch by pasting rows from a spreadsheet when you do not need to save and upload a separate file.
Add recipients one at a time
Enter an individual recipient directly when a late registration or a single correction does not justify rebuilding the full list.
Map spreadsheet columns
Match source columns to recipient name, email, and certificate Attributes so each value lands in the right place in the recipient record and Template.
Custom Attributes
Store event-specific details such as team, session, award, or cohort as Attributes, then use those values in the Template and recipient records.
Certificate Attribute types
Choose an Attribute type suited to the information you store, including text, dates, phone numbers, URLs, choices, checkboxes, ratings, and attachments where supported.
Use Attributes in a Template
Insert an Attribute into the certificate design so Verifycate fills in each person’s own name and event details at issue time.
Check and skip duplicate rows
Avoid adding the same person twice: duplicate recipient entries in an import are identified and skipped during recipient import.
Add recipients through the API
Create and update recipient records from your own system when event registration or completion data already lives elsewhere.
03 · Issue and deliver
Choose when certificates are ready to send
Review your prepared batch, issue certificates, and deliver them to recipients by email with the right event context.
Review before issuing
Prepare recipient data and preview certificate output before issuing, so the team can catch mistakes before the send.
Issue certificates in bulk
Issue a prepared group of certificates together instead of opening and sending each recipient record individually.
Send certificates by email
Deliver an issued certificate to the recipient’s email address, with a link to open the public certificate page.
Edit certificate email messages
Customise transactional email subjects and messages so recipients know what the certificate is for and what to do next.
Send a test email
Send a test of a configured email message to review its wording and presentation before using it for an event.
Release a certificate after the Certificate Unlock Form
Hold a certificate until the recipient submits the Certificate Unlock Form. Choose Release Automatically After Submission or Review Before Release in Unlock Responses.
Read moreIssue to late additions
Add a recipient after a certificate is active and issue their certificate without rebuilding the original event batch.
Understand credits before a send
Preparing or importing recipient data does not use credits. Each certificate issued uses one credit, and unused credits do not expire.
04 · Recipient experience
Give every recipient a certificate they can keep and share
Recipients can open a public page, download their certificate, share the achievement, and let others check it.
Public certificate page
Each issued certificate has a public page with its award details, so viewers can understand what the recipient received without signing in.
QR code verification
A QR code leads from the certificate to its public page, where a viewer can check the certificate details and issuer information.
Download as PNG or PDF
Recipients can save a digital image or PDF copy of their certificate for sharing, printing, or keeping with their records.
Share a certificate link
Recipients can copy and share the public certificate link when they want to show an achievement online or send it directly to someone.
Recipients can share their certificate to LinkedIn and add the achievement to their professional profile.
Open Badge 3.0
Issued credentials use the Open Badge 3.0 standard, providing a portable digital credential alongside the public Verifycate page.
Keep issued pages available
Issued certificate pages remain available after an event and after a paid plan ends, so recipients can return to their records later.
See the achievement behind the award
Public certificate details can include skills and earning criteria, giving employers, peers, and other viewers more context than a name and title alone.
05 · Recipient forms
Give recipients the right form for each certificate task
Use the Issue Request Form to request a missing certificate, the Certificate Unlock Form to collect information before release, and the Correction Form to request a change after issue. Their inboxes are Issue Requests, Unlock Responses, and Correction Requests.
Issue Request Form (Certificate Request Form)
Let someone apply for a certificate missing from the original recipient list. The public form is labelled Issue Request Form in Verifycate; Certificate Request Form is its glossary name. Applicants confirm their email with a one-time code. Choose Issue Automatically or Review Before Issuing.
Read moreCertificate Unlock Form
Ask a recipient already on the list for feedback, a link, or a file before releasing their certificate. Choose Release Automatically After Submission or Review Before Release. Submitted answers appear in Unlock Responses.
Read moreCertificate Correction Form
Let a certificate holder request a change to their name or certificate details. Choose Apply Automatically or Review Before Applying. Requests appear in Correction Requests; an applied correction keeps the same certificate ID and public page.
Read moreEdit Issue Request Form fields
Choose which details applicants provide on the Issue Request Form, such as a roll number, batch, or LinkedIn profile. Matching field keys can fill the certificate’s Attributes when a request is issued.
Read moreEdit Certificate Unlock Form questions
Choose what recipients must provide on the Certificate Unlock Form, such as feedback, a link, or an attachment, before their certificate is released.
Read moreChoose which details the Correction Form can change
Set which certificate details recipients may ask to correct. This keeps the Correction Form focused on the fields your team allows them to update.
Read moreReview Issue Requests
Review applicants’ details in the Issue Requests inbox. Accept & Issue to create and email the certificate, or reject or reopen the Issue Request.
Read moreReview Unlock Responses
Read recipients’ answers in Unlock Responses. Accept & Release to issue the certificate, or reject the response; Verifycate emails a fresh private Unlock Form link so the recipient can respond again.
Read moreReview Correction Requests
Check each requested change in Correction Requests. Approve, reject, or reopen the Correction Request; approving applies the change to the recipient’s certificate.
Read moreRemind recipients to complete the Certificate Unlock Form
Send a reminder to recipients who have not submitted their Certificate Unlock Form. Verifycate sends a fresh private Certificate Unlock Form link with the reminder.
Read moreRelease a certificate without an Unlock Response
If a recipient has not submitted the Certificate Unlock Form, release their certificate without waiting for an Unlock Response.
Read moreExport Issue Requests, Unlock Responses, and Correction Requests
Export records from each named inbox when your event team needs to review applicants’ details, recipient answers, or requested certificate changes outside Verifycate.
06 · Recipient management
Find people and take action on a whole event list
Search recipient records, keep track of delivery and certificate status, and handle routine follow-up in batches.
Search recipient records
Find recipients by name, email, or certificate details instead of scanning a long list manually.
Filter by recipient status
Narrow the list by certificate or delivery status to focus on records that need issuing or follow-up.
Filter by Template version
Find recipients who have a certificate from an earlier Template version when a design has changed.
Bulk issue, remind, or reissue certificates
Select multiple recipients to issue their certificates, send the Certificate Unlock Form again to recipients who have not responded, or reissue using the latest Template version.
Bulk expire or remove recipients
Apply expiry or remove selected recipient records in a batch when event records need routine cleanup.
Export recipient data
Download recipient records for event reporting, reconciliation, or handoff to another team.
Extend an expiry date
Change a certificate’s expiry date if its validity period needs to be extended.
Archive and restore certificates
Archive a completed certificate to clear the active list, then restore it later if you need to manage it again. Archiving does not remove recipients’ issued pages.
Delete a certificate permanently
Permanently remove a certificate and its recipient records when they should no longer be available. Deletion also removes the associated public certificate pages.
07 · Analytics and reporting
