Event workflow
Collect event feedback before releasing certificates
Use an Unlock Form to ask recipients for feedback, testimonials, project links, or files before releasing their event certificate.
Post-event feedback is easy to ignore when it arrives in a separate survey. An Unlock Form connects the response to certificate release. Each recipient receives a unique private link by email; they can respond without signing in or entering a code. Choose Release Automatically After Submission or Review Before Release when configuring the form; responses appear in Unlock Responses. The glossary calls the feature a Certificate Unlock Form.
In the glossary: Certificate Unlock Form.
How it works
Unlock Form
- 01
Build your form
Ask for ratings, feedback, testimonials, project links, or files relevant to your event.
- 02
Publish the certificate
When the certificate is published with the Unlock Form enabled, existing recipients waiting for release and recipients added later receive a unique link by email.
- 03
Release certificates
Choose Release Automatically After Submission in the form configuration, or choose Review Before Release and accept each response in the Unlock Responses inbox to release that recipient's certificate.

- Can I release certificates automatically after someone responds?
- Yes. Choose Release Automatically After Submission. Or choose Review Before Release and accept each response in Unlock Responses.
- Do recipients need a Verifycate account?
- No. Each recipient receives a unique private response link and does not need to sign in or complete an OTP step.
- Can I collect files or links?
- Yes. An Unlock Form can collect feedback, testimonials, project links, and file submissions.
- Can I use an Unlock Form to collect names I never had?
- No. Share the Issue Request Form for that. It is Verifycate's public Certificate Request Form; an Unlock Form is sent to recipients you have already added.
