ImprovedVerificationNo. 069

A clearer public verification page

The verify page now leads with the certificate's status, issuer, and award before the technical proof, and works better on a phone.

By Ashwin Shenoy · Founder and engineer

A person checking a certificate usually has one question: is this real, and who issued it? The old verify page answered that, but the technical detail came first and the answer was buried.

The page now leads with the answer.

The certificate status, issuer, recipient, award, and issue date are at the top. The verification details — the signed credential, the issuer record, and any blockchain anchor — are one step below, for the viewer who wants to check the evidence. The layout holds up on a phone, which is where most QR scans and forwarded links are opened.

The public certificate page uses the same hierarchy. An employer opening a link from LinkedIn sees the same record as someone scanning a printed award at an event desk.

The page is the interface, not the proof. The signature and issuer record are still what make the certificate verifiable; the redesign makes them easier to find.
