Add a late recipient without rebuilding the list

Add one recipient directly to an existing certificate, fill their details and Attributes, and issue without re-importing the original spreadsheet.

By Ashwin Shenoy · Founder and engineer

The list is imported, the certificates are issued, and then a speaker confirms late, a walk-in arrives, or a student emails to say they registered under a different address. Rebuilding the CSV for one person is absurd.

A recipient can be added directly to a certificate.

How it works

Open the certificate's Recipients tab and choose Add Recipient. Enter the name, email, and any certificate Attributes the design uses. The duplicate check runs against the existing list, so an address that is already present is caught rather than silently duplicated. Then issue the certificate individually or include the new row in a later batch.

Where it fits

A late walk-in at a workshop. A speaker added after the programme is finalised. A student who registered with a personal address instead of the college one. A volunteer who joined on the day.

What to check

Use the same Attribute values the design expects. A missing team, track, or college will show as a blank on the certificate. If the design uses a QR code, the new recipient gets their own code at issue time, like everyone else.

Adding a recipient does not spend a credit. Issuing their certificate does. If the certificate is already published, the new recipient can be issued without touching the existing records.
