Certificate triggers for WordPress LMS courses
The free Verifycate plugin now issues certificates from LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, LifterLMS, and Sensei course completion, with a custom hook for everything else.
WordPress courses often finish without a clean handoff. The completion event lives in one plugin, the certificate design lives somewhere else, and the recipient list gets rebuilt by hand for every cohort.
The free Verifycate WordPress plugin now connects those pieces directly.
What changed
- Native triggers for five LMS plugins. LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, LifterLMS, and Sensei can each issue a certificate when a learner completes the mapped course, lesson, or quiz.
- Course-level mapping. Connect a workspace API key, then map a course or quiz to a certificate. The mapping is reusable for the next cohort.
- A hook for everything else. If a course completion runs through a different plugin or custom code, the plugin exposes a hook so the same certificate flow can be started from your own integration.
- Learner wallet and verification shortcodes. The plugin also provides a learner wallet and public verification shortcodes, so the certificate stays reachable from the WordPress site.
Why it matters
Most course teams do not want another dashboard to check. They want the certificate to appear when the course says the learner is done. Moving the trigger into WordPress closes the gap between completion and delivery, and keeps the certificate attached to the course that earned it.
The public certificate page is still the canonical record. WordPress is simply the place where the completion happens and the certificate is requested.
