WordPress plugin
Issue certificates from your WordPress LMS
Install the free Verifycate WordPress plugin and issue a verifiable certificate when a learner completes a course, passes a quiz or finishes a lesson in LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, LifterLMS or Sensei.
Your LMS already records the course, the learner and the completion. The Verifycate plugin turns those events into verifiable certificates without a CSV export, a second checklist or a separate recipient portal. Install it once, connect a workspace, and map the exact course, quiz or lesson that should trigger a certificate.
Why WordPress + Verifycate
Your LMS already knows when a learner finishes
Native completion triggers
Course completed, quiz passed and lesson completed are first-class triggers. The plugin listens to each LMS's own completion events rather than asking an administrator to maintain a list.
Map the exact object
Choose one course, one quiz or one lesson, or use Any to cover a whole catalogue. Quiz mappings can require a minimum score before the certificate is released.
A wallet and public proof
Add the learner wallet and public verification shortcodes to any page. Every certificate also gets a public page, QR code and downloadable PNG or PDF.
How it works
From completion to credential
- 01
Install Verifycate Plugin
Upload the Verifycate zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or install it from WordPress.org when the listing is live.
- 02
Connect the workspace
Paste a Verifycate workspace API key. The plugin resolves the workspace, checks the key scopes and plan, and loads the certificate catalogue.
- 03
Choose the LMS and trigger
Select the LMS plugin, then course completed, quiz passed or lesson completed.
- 04
Map the certificate
Pick a specific course, quiz or lesson, or use an Any option. Choose the certificate and add any attribute mappings from learner or course data.
- 05
A learner completes it
The plugin queues a durable issuance job. Verifycate creates the certificate, emails the learner and exposes it in the wallet and public verification page.
Setup
Connect WordPress in four steps
- 01
Install Verifycate Plugin
Download the current release zip from github.com/verifycate/wp-plugin/releases, then upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- 02
Connect Verifycate
Open Verifycate → Configure, paste the workspace API key and run the connection test. The key needs certificates:read and certificates:write.
- 03
Map a completion
Open Verifycate → Mappings, choose the LMS, trigger and object, then select the certificate from the workspace catalogue.
- 04
Run one test completion
Complete the mapped course, quiz or lesson as a learner. Confirm the job appears in Logs and the certificate reaches the wallet and email address.
Who it's for

Universities and training teams
Tie certificates to the course, quiz or lesson completion rules already enforced in WordPress.
Membership and compliance programmes
Issue a verifiable record when a learner finishes required training, with a durable queue for API outages.
Common questions
- Which WordPress LMS plugins are supported?
- LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, LifterLMS and Sensei are supported natively. A custom hook covers memberships, e-commerce and in-house completion events.
- Does the plugin require an LMS?
- The plugin installs on WordPress without an LMS, but it needs a supported completion event or a custom hook before it can issue a certificate.
- Is the WordPress plugin free?
- Yes. The plugin is free. A Verifycate workspace is required to issue certificates, and each issued certificate uses a credit.
- Can I issue on a quiz score or a specific lesson?
- Yes. Choose quiz passed or lesson completed, then pick a specific quiz or lesson. Quiz mappings can require a minimum score; Any options cover a whole course or catalogue.
- Where do I download the plugin?
- Download the current zip from github.com/verifycate/wp-plugin/releases. The WordPress.org listing is in review; the same package is attached to the GitHub release.
- What happens if the Verifycate API is unavailable?
- The completion is kept in a durable queue and retried with backoff. The log records the failure so an administrator can retry it after fixing the connection or certificate.
- Can one certificate cover every course?
- Yes. Use the Any course option for a catalogue-wide mapping, or Any quiz or Any lesson for a group of items. More specific mappings take precedence.
- What data leaves the WordPress site?
- Only the data needed to issue or retrieve a certificate: learner name and email, course and completion details, quiz score when available, and the attributes declared on the certificate. The plugin's Privacy section documents the full flow.
