Security and governance
Know who changed what, and when
Review an append-only record of membership, API key, certificate, webhook, and identity changes. Filter by actor, action, or date, and export the trail as CSV.
A security review asks for evidence, not reassurance. The workspace audit log records deliberate changes to access, configuration, and certificate workflows, with the actor, target, time, and request context. Entries are append-only and can be filtered or exported without editing the trail.
How it works
Audit Logs
- 01
Open the audit log
Workspace admins open Settings → Audit Log. The newest entries appear first, with the action, actor, target, and timestamp.
- 02
Filter and inspect
Search by action, actor, or target, narrow by area or actor type, set a date range, and open an entry to see its metadata and request context.
- 03
Export the filtered trail
Export the matching entries as CSV for a security review or internal investigation. The export is itself recorded in the audit log.
Event examples
Where this workflow helps
- Investigate who changed a member's role
- Review SSO and SCIM changes before a procurement security review
- Export a term's certificate and recipient changes for an internal audit

For universities
Universities and higher education
Issue verifiable certificates for courses, conferences, workshops, student activities, and microcredentials. Design a template, import a cohort, handle late requests and corrections, and give every student a public page they can keep.

Training programmes and bootcamps
Prepare and issue certificates for bootcamps, cohort-based courses, and workplace training. Organise learner details, course information, and completion recognition in a batch.

- What is recorded in the audit log?
- Security-relevant actions such as membership and role changes, API-key changes, certificate and recipient changes, webhooks, workspace settings, SSO/SCIM changes, audit exports, and actions taken by Verifycate Admin.
- Who can see the audit log?
- Workspace admins. Platform-staff actions are visible to workspace admins as 'Verifycate Admin'; the real staff identity stays in the database for internal investigation.
- Can I export the audit log?
- Yes. Export the filtered trail as CSV. The download is recorded as an audit event, and the export itself does not include that new event.
- Is the audit log available on the free plan?
- No. Audit logs are a Pro feature.
- Can entries be edited or deleted?
- No. The audit trail is append-only through the product. Entries are recorded and read, never edited or deleted.
