Training certificates for programmes and cohorts

Issue training completion certificates for cohorts and programmes, with expiry, reissue, branded delivery, and a public page learners can verify.

On this page

A training programme repeats. The programme name, design, and approval stay the same; the cohort, dates, and list change. The certificate operation is the part that has to survive that repetition.

Verifycate treats the programme as the reusable unit: one Template, one email, one mapping, with cohort and completion details as fields. Expiry and renewal sit on the record when the programme needs them.

This page covers the platform pieces, what they replace, the options for a provider, and the outcomes a cohort business can report.

The programme is the reusable unit

The first cohort is a design project. By the tenth, the work is operational: the same programme, a new list, a new set of dates. If the template, email, and mapping are rebuilt each time, the certificate becomes recurring overhead.

Standardise the record: programme name, cohort, completion date, modules or hours, and expiry. The variable parts become Attributes; the design and approval stay fixed.

Options and plan gates

  • Programme levels. One design with a level Attribute, or separate certificates for each level.
  • Issue path. CSV, API, webhooks, Canvas LTI, or the WordPress LMS plugin.
  • Expiry. Off for a one-off programme, on for compliance or certification with renewal.
  • Branding. Shared page or custom domain; shared sender or your own provider.
  • Credits. One per certificate issue; corrections do not spend a credit.

Scope and inputs

Training businesses, corporate academies, bootcamps, and professional development programmes. The certificate can be issued from a completion export or from an LMS trigger.

For the cohort workflow, see how to prepare an attendee spreadsheet.

Common questions

Can we reuse one certificate across cohorts?
Yes. Keep the programme name and design fixed, and use Attributes for cohort, dates, and modules.
How do renewals work?
Set an expiry date at issue and extend it when the learner renews. You can also reissue with a new completion date.
Can the certificate carry our brand instead of Verifycate’s?
Yes. Use your own design and logo, and on Pro a custom domain and email sender.
Do you integrate with our LMS?
Canvas through LTI 1.3, and LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, LifterLMS, and Sensei through the WordPress plugin. For others, use the API, webhooks, or a CSV export.
