Certificates for clubs, societies and associations
Recognise members, volunteers, speakers, and competition winners with verifiable certificates — a simple workflow and a free tier that fits a volunteer budget.
On this page
Club certificates need to be cheap, quick, and credible. The team is volunteers, the budget is small, and the recipients often care more about the recognition than the file format.
Verifycate gives a club one design, one list, and a public page per member, with a free tier that covers a small programme and credits that do not expire.
This page covers what changes for a club, the platform fit, the activities it covers, the controls, and the simplest way to start.
How a club runs certificates
A club may issue 20 certificates for a competition, 40 for a volunteer team, or 200 for an annual event. The workflow is the same as a large event, but the tolerance for setup time is lower.
The free tier is the practical starting point: 300 credits on signup, no card, and credits that do not expire. A club can issue a year of activity without a procurement conversation.
What changes for the club
| Outcome | What changes |
|---|---|
| Setup | One design and one list, without a design project. |
| Recognition | Members get a public page, QR code, and LinkedIn action. |
| Corrections | Recipients fix names themselves; the club approves once. |
| Budget | Free tier covers a small programme; credits do not expire. |
| Reuse | The same Template covers the next event or year. |
The capability map
| Need | Capability | Result |
|---|---|---|
| A small recipient list | CSV, paste, or manual entry | Issue in one batch |
| Winner and participant designs | Separate certificates or an award Attribute | The right wording for each group |
| Late members | Issue Request Form | A link instead of a chase |
| Name fixes | Correction Form | Same record, no extra credit |
| Sharing | Public page, QR code, LinkedIn, Open Badge 3.0 | A record members can post |
What you can issue
- Volunteer certificates — roles, hours, and service.
- College fest certificates — multi-event campus programmes.
- Workshop certificates — attendance and completion.
- Hackathon certificates — winners and participants.
- Conference certificates — speakers and attendees.
Control and access
- Free tier. 300 credits, no card; one credit per certificate issue.
- Reuse. Keep the club design and event name as Attributes.
- Corrections. Recipients request, the club approves.
- Optional Pro. Forms, custom domain, custom email, sponsor slots, and API when the club grows.
Getting started
- One activity. Issue the next competition or volunteer batch on the free tier.
- The annual calendar. Reuse the Template for each event.
- Only then upgrade. Add Pro when the forms, domain, or volume justify it.
The old stack
| Old approach | Friction | With Verifycate |
|---|---|---|
| Canva and a manual export | One file at a time | Bulk import and issue |
| PDFs in a WhatsApp group | Lost and unverifiable | Public page and QR code |
| A spreadsheet for names | Duplicates and missing emails | Import and dedupe |
| Name fixes by message | The volunteer reissues | Correction Form |
| No record of who was issued | The next team starts over | Recipient status and reuse |

Common questions
- Is there a free plan for clubs?
- Yes. 300 credits on signup, no card. Credits do not expire, and one credit is spent per certificate issue.
- Can we issue winner and participation certificates?
- Yes. Use two designs or one design with an award Attribute.
- Do we need a custom domain?
- No. It is a Pro feature for organisations that want certificate pages on their own domain.
- Can members share on LinkedIn?
- Yes. The public page has an Add to LinkedIn action, and the certificate carries signed Open Badge 3.0 data.
