Certificates for event teams closing out dozens of award groups
Run certificates for fests, conferences, hackathons, and workshops from one workspace — sponsor marks, award groups, and public verification.
On this page
An event team does not need another design tool. It needs a way to hold the award structure, recipient lists, sponsor requirements, and correction window together while the rest of the event is still moving.
Verifycate keeps the certificate groups, recipient records, templates, forms, delivery, and public pages in one workspace. The team can see what was issued, what bounced, what was corrected, and which event still has pending recipients.
This page covers the platform fit, the old stack it replaces, the programmes it covers, the controls available, and a practical rollout.
What a certificate operation has to hold together
The certificate is one output of a longer operation: decide the award groups, approve the design and sponsor marks, collect signatures, reconcile the lists, issue in batches, and handle the corrections that arrive after the first email.
When each step lives in a different tool, the team loses the thread. The design is in Canva, the list is in Sheets, the corrections are in someone’s inbox, and the sponsor approval is in a WhatsApp thread. The certificate is the only artefact that survives, and it is the one nobody can update.
Verifycate puts the award groups, recipient records, templates, forms, delivery, and public pages in one workspace. The team can see what was issued, what bounced, what was corrected, and which event still has pending recipients.
Where the return is
| Outcome | What changes |
|---|---|
| Closeout time | Issue by event or award group instead of one batch built from merged spreadsheets. |
| Correction load | Recipients fix names themselves; the team approves, and the same page updates. |
| Sponsor delivery | The approved strip goes on the Template once, not onto each certificate by hand. |
| Recipient experience | Every certificate has a public page, QR code, download, and LinkedIn action. |
| Repeat editions | Reuse the Template, award map, and email copy for the next edition. |
| Audit trail | Recipient status, delivery events, and correction records stay with the event. |
The platform fit
| Need | Capability | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Several award groups per event | Separate certificates or Attributes for event, position, and role | One batch per group, with the right wording |
| A design that survives sign-off | Template editor, sponsor strip, signature block, versions | Approved once, reused across events |
| A messy list from several sources | CSV, Excel, paste, manual entry, API | One recipient record per issue |
| People missing from the list | Issue Request Form with review or automatic issue | Requests sit in one inbox |
| Name fixes after the send | Correction Form and review queue | Same certificate and page, no extra credit |
| Sponsor visibility beyond print | Public-page sponsor slots on Pro | Logos, links, and captions on the certificate page |
| Proof for the next edition | Delivery, open, click, page-view, and correction data | A record of what worked |
What teams run
The same workspace covers very different award structures. The use-case pages go into the details:
- College fest certificates — multiple events, award groups, sponsor marks.
- Conference certificates — speakers, attendees, session chairs, reviewers.
- Hackathon certificates — winners, finalists, participants, mentors, volunteers.
- Workshop certificates — attendance, completion, walk-ins.
- Volunteer certificates — roles, hours, community service.
Access and scale
- Workspace roles. Invite the core team without giving everyone access to every event.
- Custom domain and email. On Pro, certificate pages can sit on your domain and email can send from a verified domain, provider, or SMTP.
- API, webhooks, and Zapier. Create recipients and trigger issuance from a registration system.
- SSO, SCIM, and audit logs. On Pro, for teams that need directory provisioning and a reviewable activity log.
- Credits. One credit per certificate issue; importing and corrections do not spend credits, and unused credits do not expire.
From pilot to scale
- One event. Pick an event with a clean list and one award group. Approve the Template and the public-page policy.
- One fest. Add the remaining events and award groups, and run the correction window.
- The next edition. Reuse the Template, award map, and email copy; change the dates and lists.
The second edition is where the work drops. The design, sponsor strip, signatory block, and award structure already exist.
What it displaces
| Old approach | Friction | With Verifycate |
|---|---|---|
| Canva or Word plus mail merge | Every award group is a new file | Template with Attributes and reusable certificates |
| A shared spreadsheet for recipients | Duplicates, missing emails, no status | Import, dedupe, and recipient status |
| PDFs in a Drive folder | No verification, no correction path | Public page, QR code, and Correction Form |
| Email threads for name fixes | The team reissues files | Correction queue on the same record |
| Separate sponsor assets | Logos get applied by hand | Approved strip on the Template; optional page slots |

Common questions
- Can we run several events from one workspace?
- Yes. Create a certificate per event or award group and keep the recipient lists separate. Templates and sponsor marks can be reused across events.
- How much does it cost for a fest?
- Start with 300 free credits, then one credit per certificate issue at about ₹1. Pro adds the forms, custom domain, custom email senders, sponsor slots, and API. Credits do not expire.
- Can we handle name corrections after the send?
- Yes. The Correction Form updates the same certificate and public page without spending another credit. You can limit which fields recipients may request.
- Do certificates stay online after the event?
- Yes. Issued pages stay available after the event and after a paid plan ends.
- Can different teams manage different events?
- Yes. Workspace members and roles let the core team share access without handing every event to everyone.
