Import

From an audience to ready-to-issue recipients

Built for newsletter and course teams that segment learners with Mailchimp tags and merge fields.

  1. 01

    Create an API key

In Mailchimp, open Account → Extras → API keys and create a key. The key includes the account's data center, which Verifycate reads automatically.

  2. 02

    Choose the audience

Verifycate lists the audiences on the account with their member counts.

  3. 03

    Map members and import

Map email, status, tags and merge fields to name, email and Attributes. Validate the addresses, then add the rows to the certificate.

Merge fields keep their meaning

Merge tags such as FNAME and COHORT are stable identifiers, so renaming a merge field's label does not break a saved mapping.

Common questions

Does Verifycate change my Mailchimp audience?
No. The connection reads audiences, merge fields and members. Nothing is subscribed, tagged, updated or removed in Mailchimp.
Which members are imported?
Every member in the audience you choose, whatever their status, up to 5,000 rows per import. The Status and Tags columns let you map or filter the group you want.
Are merge fields included?
Yes. Each audience merge field becomes a column keyed by its merge tag, with the field name as the label. Built-in columns cover email, status, tags and opt-in time.
