Symposium certificates for papers, presenters and reviewers
Issue symposium certificates for presenters, co-authors, best-paper winners, reviewers, and session chairs — with paper titles and verification.
On this page
A symposium certificate has to name the paper, the session, and the contribution. The submission system knows every author; the programme knows who is presenting. Those are different lists, and the certificate rule has to choose between them.
Verifycate keeps presenters, co-authors, reviewers, and chairs as separate groups, carries the paper title and abstract ID as fields, and gives each certificate a public page. Corrections to a name or affiliation update the same record.
This page covers what the platform handles, what it replaces, and the choices that keep an academic programme consistent.
The author rule comes first
Decide whether the certificate recognises the presenting author only, or every co-author. The submission system knows every author; the programme knows who is presenting. Those are different lists.
A common rule is to issue to the presenting author and let co-authors request a certificate through the Issue Request Form. If you issue to all authors, collect the full author list and put the paper title in an Attribute.
The tools this uses
| Capability | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Presenter and author groups | Separate certificates for presenters, co-authors, reviewers, and chairs. |
| Paper Attributes | Paper title, abstract ID, session, and affiliation as fields. |
| Award groups | Best paper, best poster, and reviewer certificates as separate records. |
| Bulk import | CSV or Excel from the programme or submission system. |
| Correction Form | Fix names and affiliations on the same certificate and page. |
| Public page | Recipient, paper, session, issuer, and date with a QR code. |
The stack it replaces
| Old approach | Friction | With Verifycate |
|---|---|---|
| A certificate template plus a mail merge | Long paper titles break the layout | Paper title as an Attribute |
| Author list in the submission system | Every co-author expects a certificate | A stated author rule and request form |
| PDFs emailed after the event | No verification or correction path | Public page and QR code |
| Affiliation changes by email | The file is reissued | Correction Form on the same record |
| Reviewer recognition forgotten | No record of the review period | A separate reviewer certificate |
How flexible it is
- Presenter only or all authors. Pick one rule and state it in the acceptance email.
- Paper title. Show the full title, a shortened version, or the abstract ID.
- Reviewer certificates. Issue one per reviewer with the review period; no paper title needed.
- Affiliation. Keep it as an Attribute and confirm it with the presenting author.
- Credits. One per certificate issue; corrections do not spend a credit.
What improves
| Outcome | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Presenters covered | Recipient status |
| Co-author requests | Issue Requests |
| Affiliation corrections | Correction Requests |
| Delivery and bounces | Delivery events |
| Recipient sharing | Page views and clicks |
When to use it
Academic symposia, student research conferences, paper presentations, poster sessions, and reviewer recognition. The programme or submission system remains the source of truth; Verifycate issues the certificate record.

Common questions
- Should every co-author get a certificate?
- Decide one rule and state it in the acceptance email. A common approach is to issue to the presenting author and let co-authors request one.
- Can the certificate show the full paper title?
- Yes, but make it an Attribute and preview with the longest accepted title. Long titles with colons and symbols often break the layout.
- Do reviewers get certificates?
- They can. Reviewer certificates are a separate group with a review period and no paper title.
- Can we put a DOI on the certificate?
- Only if the DOI exists and is final at issue time. If the paper is still in production, use the abstract ID or paper title instead.
