Bootcamp certificates for intensive cohorts

Issue bootcamp completion and achievement certificates for intensive cohorts, capstone projects, demo days, mentors, and graduates — with verification and reissue.

On this page

A bootcamp certificate is read by the graduate who shares it and by an employer checking what was completed. Completion and achievement are different claims, and a capstone project is often the most useful detail on the page.

Verifycate keeps completion, achievement, mentor, and demo-day groups separate, carries the project and cohort as fields, and gives each graduate a public page with a QR code.

This page covers what the platform handles, what it replaces, the choices for a cohort, and the outcomes worth tracking.

Completion and achievement are different

Most bootcamps have a completion threshold and a smaller group that stands out. Keep them separate.

Do not put “job-ready” or an employment guarantee on a certificate unless the programme can substantiate it.

The flexibility

  • Capstone on the certificate. Show the project title and stack, or keep the certificate programme-level.
  • Team or individual. One certificate per graduate, with the team name in an Attribute.
  • Cohort location. Keep city or cohort name in the certificate and page.
  • Expiry. Usually off; use it only if the programme has a renewal rule.
  • Credits. One per certificate issue; corrections do not spend a credit.

Where this works

Full-time bootcamps, part-time cohorts, corporate reskilling programmes, and demo-day showcases. The programme platform remains the source of completion data; Verifycate issues the record.

For the cohort workflow, see how to prepare an attendee spreadsheet.

Common questions

Should the capstone project appear on the certificate?
It usually should. Make the project title and stack Attributes so the certificate is specific without a new design for every learner.
Do mentors get certificates?
They can. Treat mentors, speakers, and demo-day judges as a separate appreciation group.
Can we issue one certificate per team?
Yes, but individual certificates are more useful to graduates. Put the team name in an Attribute and issue one per person.
How do we fix a project title after graduation?
Use the Correction Form or update the certificate details. A correction keeps the same page and does not spend another credit.
