Conference certificates for speakers, attendees and committees
Issue conference certificates for speakers, attendees, session chairs, reviewers, and volunteers — with session titles, sponsor marks, and public verification.
On this page
A conference produces five recipient lists before lunch: attendees, speakers, session chairs, reviewers, and volunteers. Each needs different evidence and different wording, and the programme changes until the last session.
Verifycate keeps those groups separate, carries session and role details into the certificate, and issues each group in its own batch with a public page and delivery tracking.
This page covers the platform pieces, the old stack it replaces, the options a conference team controls, and the outcomes worth reporting.
Five groups, one event
The attendee list comes from ticketing or check-in. Speaker and session data come from the programme. Reviewer names come from the review platform. Volunteer names come from the crew lead.
Treating them as one list produces a generic certificate that is wrong for at least three groups. A speaker certificate without the session title is a participation certificate with a different label.
The platform pieces
| Capability | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Speaker and attendee certificates | Separate groups with session, role, and attendance wording. |
| Session Attributes | Session title, track, day, and role as fields inside one design. |
| Bulk import | CSV or Excel from ticketing, check-in, the programme, or a reviewer export. |
| Issue Request Form | Collect missing speakers or attendees after the programme is final. |
| Correction Form | Fix names and affiliations on the same certificate and page. |
| Public verification | QR code, public page, download, LinkedIn, and Open Badge 3.0 data. |
| Sponsor surfaces | Printed strip on the Template; optional page slots on Pro. |
Before Verifycate
| Old approach | Friction | With Verifycate |
|---|---|---|
| One generic certificate for everyone | Wrong wording for speakers and chairs | Separate recipient groups |
| Programme spreadsheet plus mail merge | Session titles break the layout | Session title as an Attribute |
| PDFs emailed after the event | No verification or correction path | Public page and QR code |
| Affiliation fixes by email | The file is reissued | Correction Form on the same record |
| Sponsor logos applied by hand | Inconsistent placement | Approved strip on the Template |
Choices you control
- Speaker plus attendee, or speaker only. Pick one rule; issuing both creates two public pages per person.
- Per session or per speaker. One certificate per session is clearer when a speaker presents twice.
- Attendance source. Use check-in data for “attended”; ticket sales only prove registration.
- One-day attendees. Name the days attended, or issue one conference certificate with a check-in condition.
- Credits. One per certificate issue; corrections do not spend a credit.
Metrics that move
| Outcome | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Speakers and attendees issued | Recipient status by group |
| Delivery and bounces | Delivery events |
| Affiliation corrections | Correction Requests |
| Recipient sharing | Page views and clicks |
| Pending groups | Recipient filters |
Who it fits
Conferences, summits, annual meetings, multi-track programmes, and virtual or hybrid events. The programme and registration system remain the source of truth; Verifycate issues the certificate record.

Common questions
- Should speakers also get an attendee certificate?
- Pick one rule: speakers get a speaker certificate only, or speakers get both. The first avoids duplicate public pages and credits.
- Can we issue certificates to one-day attendees?
- Yes. Either name the days attended on the certificate or issue one conference certificate to anyone with at least one check-in.
- How do we handle a speaker who presents twice?
- Issue one certificate per session, or one certificate with both session titles if the design can hold them.
- Can sponsor logos go on the certificate?
- Yes, on the Template. Public-page sponsor slots are a separate Pro feature and do not appear on the certificate.
