Cultural fest certificates for performances and awards
Issue cultural fest certificates for performers, winning teams, individual categories, judges, and volunteers — with stage names and group events.
On this page
Cultural fest results arrive as teams, not individuals. A dance troupe of twenty is one row in the registration sheet and twenty certificates in the outcome. Stage names, category wording, and judges’ special mentions add another layer.
Verifycate builds the recipient list from the team roster, keeps the performance and category as fields, and issues one certificate per performer with a public page. The design can be reused across categories and the next edition.
This page covers the platform pieces, the old stack, the options, and the outcomes a cultural team can measure.
Group events multiply the recipient list
One dance team can produce twenty certificates. The registration export has one row for the team, not twenty. The roster is the source of truth, and it usually arrives late.
The same applies to theatre, music ensembles, fashion shows, and backstage crews. Decide whether every member receives a certificate, or only the performers named in the result.
What you get
| Capability | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Group or individual certificates | One certificate per performer, or one per team with the team name. |
| Performance Attributes | Category, performance, team, position, and special mention as fields. |
| Bulk import | CSV, Excel, paste, or manual entry for a late roster. |
| Stage-name handling | Use the display name on the certificate and keep the legal name in the record. |
| Correction Form | Fix spelling and category details on the same certificate and page. |
| Public page | QR code, download, LinkedIn, and Open Badge 3.0 data for every performer. |
From spreadsheet to record
| Old approach | Friction | With Verifycate |
|---|---|---|
| A design per category | Many files and approvals | One Template with category Attributes |
| A team captain’s spreadsheet | Missing members and stage names | Roster import per team |
| PDFs in a group chat | No verification or correction path | Public page and QR code |
| Special mentions edited by hand | Inconsistent wording | Award Attribute from the judge sheet |
| Post-event name fixes | The team reissues files | Correction Form on the same record |
What you can change
- Group or individual. Issue per performer or one per team; the team name can stay as an Attribute.
- Stage name. Use the performer’s display name on the certificate; keep the legal name in the recipient record.
- Position wording. Use the judge’s language — “Best Ensemble”, “Judges’ Special Mention” — rather than forcing 1st/2nd/3rd.
- Design reuse. Two designs usually cover a fest: performance and appreciation.
- Credits. One per certificate issue; corrections do not spend a credit.
Outcomes you can report
| Outcome | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Certificates issued per team | Recipient status |
| Delivery and bounces | Delivery events |
| Name and category corrections | Correction Requests |
| Recipient sharing | Page views and clicks |
| Pending rosters | Recipient filters |
Where this works
Cultural fests, college days, department performances, dance and music competitions, theatre, fashion shows, and backstage teams. The roster can come from a team lead, a registration form, or a coordinator’s sheet.

Common questions
- Do we need one certificate per group member?
- If the certificate recognises the performance, each performer usually wants their own copy. Build the list from the team roster, not the captain’s registration row.
- Can we use a stage name instead of a legal name?
- Yes. Use the display name the performer wants on the certificate, and keep the legal name or email as the recipient record.
- How should judges’ special mentions be worded?
- Use the exact award wording from the judge sheet, such as “Judges’ Special Mention” or “Best Ensemble”. Do not force it into a numbered position.
- What if a team wins more than one category?
- Decide whether that is two certificates or one certificate with two award lines, and apply the same rule across categories.
