WordPress LMS integration

Issue certificates from Tutor LMS

Turn Tutor LMS course completion, lesson completion and quiz attempts into verifiable certificates with the free Verifycate WordPress plugin.

Free WordPress pluginCourse · lesson · quizWordPress 6.2+

Tutor LMS tracks courses, lessons and quiz attempts. Verifycate listens to those events, applies the mapping and score threshold, and issues a certificate the learner can open from the course site.

Why Tutor LMS + Verifycate

The course already knows who finished

Course and lesson completion

Issue when a Tutor course or lesson is completed, with the learner and course passed straight from the LMS.

Quiz attempts and scores

Use the Tutor quiz attempt result to decide eligibility. Add a minimum score when a pass alone is not enough.

Specific or catalogue-wide

Map one Tutor course, quiz or lesson, or use Any to cover a whole programme.

How it works

From completion to credential

  1. 01

    Install Verifycate Plugin

Upload the Verifycate zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or install it from WordPress.org when the listing is live.

  2. 02

    Connect the workspace

Paste a Verifycate workspace API key. The plugin resolves the workspace and loads your certificate catalogue.

  3. 03

    Choose Tutor LMS

Select Tutor LMS in the mapping editor, then choose the completion trigger.

  4. 04

    Map the completion

Pick the exact course, quiz or lesson, or use an Any option. Add a score threshold when the LMS provides a quiz result.

  5. 05

    The learner completes it

The plugin queues the issue, Verifycate sends the certificate, and the learner can open it from the wallet or its public verification page.

Setup

Connect Tutor LMS in four steps

  1. 01

    Install Verifycate Plugin

Download the current release zip from github.com/verifycate/wp-plugin/releases and upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

  2. 02

    Connect the workspace

Open Verifycate → Configure, paste an API key with certificates:read and certificates:write, and run the connection test.

  3. 03

    Map Tutor LMS

Open Verifycate → Mappings, choose the LMS, trigger and object, then select the certificate from the catalogue.

  4. 04

    Run a test completion

Complete the mapped item as a learner and confirm the job reaches Logs and the certificate reaches the wallet.

Who it's for

Where the workflow fits

Course creators

Add a credential to the courses you already sell, without changing where learners log in.

Training and compliance teams

Tie the certificate to the completion rule the LMS already enforces, and keep an audit trail in WordPress.

Universities and academies

Use one certificate catalogue across courses, quizzes and lessons while the LMS remains the source of truth.

Common questions

Does Tutor LMS need an add-on?
No. The Verifycate plugin uses Tutor LMS's own completion hooks; there is no separate connector to install.
Does it use Tutor LMS quiz attempts?
Yes. The plugin reads the completed Tutor quiz attempt, including the score, and can require a minimum percentage.
Can I map a specific Tutor quiz?
Yes. Choose the quiz in the object picker, or use Any quiz in the course to cover every quiz in that course.
Does it work with Tutor course completion?
Yes. Choose course completed and pick one Tutor course or Any Tutor LMS course.
Can one certificate cover every course?
Yes. Use the Any option for a catalogue-wide mapping, or map a specific course, quiz or lesson. More specific mappings take precedence.
Does the plugin prevent duplicate certificates?
Yes. A mapping can skip repeat completions or reissue the certificate onto the latest published design. The learner sees one current certificate rather than a duplicate.
Where do I download the Verifycate plugin?
The current package is on github.com/verifycate/wp-plugin/releases. Install the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
